Highlights

The world-famous Napa Valley is home to many dozens of excellent wineries.  Tour past acres of vineyards, stop at a gourmet deli to grab a picnic and enjoy the relaxed hospitality of the valley.  Wineries that are open for tasting or tours are marked on the map.  You can also combine your bicycle ride with fine dining, a trip on the Wine Train, or a hot spring soak and mud bath.

Explore the lesser known wine areas of Sonoma County, or ride amongst the dairy farms and apple orchards, perhaps stopping to pick fruit at one of the many farms that are open to the public.  Mile after mile of backroads lace the hills of Sonoma County, one of the most popular cycling areas in the U.S.

Glide alongside the Russian River on quiet backroads.  Find more wineries (tucked away in the redwoods), sandy beaches and beautiful river scenery.  Old-fashioned campgrounds and cabin resorts dot the riversides.

Mountain bike on the birthplace of mountain biking... Mount Tamalpias.  The mountain has a vast network of fire roads open to bikes offering a variety of terrain and difficulty.
